Geography

Improving your understanding of the GCSE assessment objectives, particularly AO3 – application of knowledge and understanding; showing how lessons can embed high level challenges in order to develop critical evaluation skills; improving students’ responses to the ‘Assess’ and ‘Evaluate’ essay questions and their ability to write ‘evaluatively’.

These events are an opportunity for those teaching Pearson Edexcel GCSE Geography A and B to discuss new ideas, share best practice and network with colleagues from other schools. To support this Pearson Edexcel would like colleagues to bring along their best lesson or activity that has successfully developed AO3 skills.

The training materials have been written by Andrea Wood. Andrea is a former Head of Geography and an experienced teacher, examiner and trainer. She examines for the Pearson Edexcel GCSE (9-1) Geography B qualification and she has written published resources for GCSE Geography.
