SSLP Street Photography Competition

This photography competition exclusively for SSLP Students is now finished.  Students were invited to submit one photograph a month on a set theme to be in with a chance of winning an Amazon Voucher.  All entries are displayed on Flickr Southwark Schools and on the SSLP Gallery

The best overall photograph is still to be announced. Along with the best portfolio.

 

The theme for May was “Reflections
The winner was Yasmin

April – Animals and their Owners
The winner was Catherine

March – Corners

Our resident photographer was looking for photos of interesting corners revealing life as it unfolds in the streets on both sides of the corner.
The winners were Georgina and Amy.

FebruaryNumber
The winners were Nishika and William, with runners up Emma-Gu, James and Charlotte

January – Street Furniture
The joint winners were Ling Ling  and Fergus, with runners-up named as Luke B, Edward N, Gabriel and James.

The competition was run monthly January to May with a prize for the best overall picture and also the best portfolio of work.

The aim of the Competition was for pupils in SSLP schools to take a series of five photographs over the course of the spring and summer terms (January through to May) and to submit one each month. Each month’s submitted photograph was based on a theme. There was a winning photograph each month (Amazon Voucher) and prizes of a Mini Photo Printer for the best Photograph overall and for the best Portfolio of work.

The photographs were judged by:
Roxana Halls – Local artist
Chantel Gilou – Art & photography Teacher at JAGS
Jo Paul Wallace – Experienced street photographer.
