Our Thinking About webinar this week was Lord Peter Hain thinking about sport and apartheid in South Africa. He spoke about how at the age of 19 he became chairman of the Stop The Seventy Tour campaign which disrupted the all-white South African cricket and rugby union teams’ tours in protest against apartheid.  Lord Hain mentioned the importance of young people speaking up for what they believe in, from Suffragettes to Black Lives Matter and Climate Change, and he urged students to work hard in order to achieve their goals.
