Wellbeing Posters

Wellbeing Posters

A3 Wellbeing Posters in a range of languages have been produced by Dulwich College and the SSLP with support from The Stephen Spender Trust, The Chartered Institute of Linguistics and ISMLA.

When 6th form student, Charles Bird, at Dulwich College finished his A levels he wanted to do something for future generations dealing with the stresses of schools. His solution was to create a series of 6 posters each with a helpful simple message.

Given wellbeing is important for both students and teachers – why not then in MFL? The posters were first translated into Spanish. We moved the project on by then translating in a Spanish gender neutral version, and then French, German, Italian and Chinese. Dulwich College forms part of the Southwark Schools’ Learning Partnership, a collaboration between local schools. We worked with students of other lesser taught languages to tap into the richness of student heritages. Having the endorsement of the Chartered Institute of Linguists and the Stephen Spender Trust and their access to check the translations at the highest levels was something of a reassurance in the validity of the translations. All posters can be downloaded free in A3 printable format in different languages below.

Perhaps students in your school can add to the project?
