Student Ambassadors

The Southwark Schools’ Learning Partnership (SSLP) is looking for one or two ambitious Year 10  students to represent your school’s student body on the SSLP Student Council, and also to represent the SSLP back to students. Ambassadors will need to

  • be in regular contact with the SSLP coordinator,
  • will receive the weekly e-newsletter and
  • will have responsibility for some student focused events.

Students will develop the competencies below by completing the tasks on the role description.

As an SSLP Student Ambassador you will develop competency skills in:

  • Teamwork

SSLP Ambassadors 2023/24

Alleyn's square logo

Meave is in Year 10 at Alleyn’s School. Her favourite subjects are English, Geography, Biology and Drama. She’s considering a career in the theatre or as an animal conservationist. She is keen to be an SSLP Ambassador this year because she is Neurodivergent and is interested in the role.

Ifeoluwa is in Year 10 at Charter School Bermondsey. Her favourite subjects are History and Maths. She is considering a career in politics, or as a lawyer or solicitor. She is has an interest in neurodiversity and is looking forward to representing her school and young people.

Tristan is in Year 10 at Dulwich College. He enjoys History, Maths and Latin. He’s considering career involving diplomacy, medicine or finance. As an Ambassador he wants to ensure everyone gets equal opportunities now and in the future.

Fikayo is in Year 10 at St Thomas the Apostle College. He enjoys Science, Maths and Economics and wants a career in medicine. He is looking forward to creating an inclusive community where he can display his talents, qualities and skills.

Suhaib is in Year 10 at Westminster City School where he enjoys the unusual combination of Physics, DT and English. He probably wants to be an engineer, but also enjoys writing. He will step outside his comfort zone in terms of social and organisational skills by becoming an Ambassador, but will ensure his school and his fellow students get maximum benefit from the SSLP.

Isabella is in year 10 at Charter School Bermondsey Her favourite subjects are French and Art, and she wants to be an interior designer. She wants to be an SSLP Ambassador to improve her confidence.

Sufiyan is in Year 10 at Dulwich College. His favourite subjects are History and Languages and he wants to work as a civil engineer. He is interested in learning about other schools, sharing ideas and discussing neurodiversity.

Alexandra is in Year 10 at St Saviour’s & St Olave’s where she enjoys Biology, Maths, Drama, Music, RS and Philosophy. She wants to either be a Neurosurgeon, a forensic Pathologist, a Psychiatrist or Banker. She is looking forward to leading activities, speaking up for others and representing her school.

Abraham is in Year 10 at St Thomas the Apostle College. He enjoys Maths, French, English and Computer Science. He wants to be a software developer or another tech-based role. He wants to develop his leadership and communication skills and make our society a more inclusive place.

Omar is in Year 10 at Westminster City School. His favourite subjects are Art, Spanish, Maths and Chemistry. He wants to be an Architect or an Engineer, and is looking forward to linking with other schools as an Ambassador.
